Chuck Close @Pace Wildenstein

Today: Chuck Close @Pace Wildenstein

Renee and I were lucky enough to catch the last day of Chuck Close’s  first New York show in four years at Pace Wildenstein this past Saturday. It consisted of 2 rooms: One displaying several woven jacquard tapestries and the other his new oil portraits. I would feel arrogant to attempt to write about his work, so i won’t. But i will say this: Chuck Close is quite simply a great artist and a true inspiration. Enjoy!

hello. i love the attribution that i came along with you. thanks! that was sweet of you to include me. You say that commenting on Close’s art would be arrogant of you. I disagree. Your artistic perspective is very detail orientated that allows for valid and insightful commentaries. I think your blog is a good way to explore this hidden talent of yours (your is good – you know my background and trust me i don’t tell people often that they’re writing is good). I think with more development of the blog and more encouragement of writing down your artistic observations and experience, you could expand your blog into your own article for an emagazine or something similar.
